Black & White Composition

This project focused on exhibiting depth and value using pen and alcohol markers, as well as practicing abstraction. The object I chose to abstract was a vintage German bobbling goose toy, most noticeably seen in the final project by the feather- and gooseneck-like forms. To add some additional depth, I layered torn pieces of paper, and propped the lower half of the piece up on slices of mat board, creating a slightly 3-dimensional terrain. My previous project in the semester had lacked a clear focal point, so I made sure to make it clear in this assignment.
