Installation Sketch

The goal of this assignment is to demonstrate our conceptual ideals and technical drawing skills by illustrating our final group installation. I chose to create mine with micron pens rather than with digital tools, to better challenge and improve my drafting skills. My group's installation, Make Yourself Comfortable, is about animal cruelty and testing, and so has many various animal heads in its composition; To match that imagery and the overall theme of unease in the installation, I added subtle animal eye forms in the oriental rug and mosaic in the background, implying not only that everything that surrounds the viewer exists at the expense of animals, but also that their actions do not go unseen.
