SketchUp Composition

The purpose of this assignment was to gain a solid understanding of SketchUp by creating a collection of objects from scratch and arranging them into a still life. When looking at the objects around me, I realized I had a number of somewhat utilitarian objects; Not only did they seem to fit together, but they also reminded me of my father's woodshop, which became inspiration for the final composition's background. I familiarized myself with a variety of tools as the necessity arose, be it for creating the curved bottom of the spray fixative can, the hollowed holes of the form stake, or the begrudgingly organic form of the carrying case handle. Because of the many intricacies I was recreating, I had to completely start over for each object at least once, learning from a new mistake each time.
